Privacy and your data
Last reviewed October 6, 2026
Your iris photo is sent over an encrypted connection to make your reading, and it isn't kept afterwards. Your readings and plans stay on your phone, nothing is sold or used for advertising, and you can delete your account and data at any time.
What happens when you take a reading
- The app sends your two iris photos, encrypted in transit, to our analysis service.
- The service asks AI providers (Google Cloud / Vertex AI and OpenAI, as listed in the Privacy Policy) to read them using the iridology method built into Iris AI.
- The reading comes back to your phone. The photos are not kept after processing.
The analysis happens in the cloud, not on the phone. We say this plainly because some apps imply otherwise.
Where your readings are stored
Readings, plans and profiles are saved on your phone. An optional cloud backup, off by default, can keep your insights, plans and profiles so they survive a new phone. Your photos are never included in the backup.
What we never do
- Sell your data
- Use your photos or readings for advertising
- Share your readings with other users
Deleting your data
In the app: Settings > Delete account. This removes your account, credits and any cloud backup; readings saved on the phone go when you delete them or remove the app. Without the app, follow the steps on Delete your account.
Questions people ask
Does Iris AI analyse my iris on my phone?
No. The photo is sent, encrypted, to the analysis service and its AI providers to make the reading, and is not kept afterwards. Readings and plans are then stored on your phone.
Are my iris photos used to train AI?
Iris AI does not use your photos to train AI models. It sends them only to produce your reading and does not keep them afterwards. The AI providers it uses are listed in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my Iris AI account?
Open the app and go to Settings > Delete account. It removes your account, unused credits and any cloud backup. You can also follow the steps at irisai.info/delete-account.
